Transferring and Uploading Digital Photos

Jefferson Express is hosting another computer class at the library!  This one will teach participants how to move digital photos from their digital camera to the computer!  The class costs $5.  All participants must pre-register.  Due to limited class space, walk-ins will not be allowed.  You can pre-register in person, by phone, by email, or here at our website.  For those of you who wish to pre-register online, please provide valid contact information.  If we can't figure out who you are, we can't register you.

What's new at the library?

Now that winter and its unpredictable weather is upon us, please take note: if BRCS is closed due to inclement weather, we will be closed also.

Tax Time

It's getting closer to tax time.  The library does have some tax forms, but they are state forms only.  We do not have any federal forms, nor do we expect to.  Every tax form we have available is on display in the library lobby.  We also have reproducible tax forms (again, just for the state) available in the library.  Just ask!

 

Silent Auction News! 

The Silent Auction is officially finished for the year!  Thanks to everyone's bids, we raised about $1400 for the library!  The library staff and Board of Trustees would like to thank a

Computer and Internet Basics Class!

Want to learn how to navigate your computer and the Internet?  Do you already know, but want a refresher course?  Well, let Jefferson Express show you how!

Jefferson Express is teaching a class on computer and Internet basics, here at the library!  It will be on Tuesday, February 28, from 2-4 PM.  Computers will be provided.  Only 10 spaces are available, so sign up soon!  As before, pre-registration is required due to limited class space.  Walk-ins will not be allowed.  You may pre-register in person, by telephone, by email, or here on this website!  All you need to do is provide your name and telephone number, and email if you register online!

New Titles!

New Titles at the Library!

 

Want something new to read?  Then come down to the library, as we have lots of new titles, fresh in!

We've changed the location of our new books!  We now have them on the  rack facing the front door.  Yes, every title on that rack is new!  Want to read about the appeal of Texas Rangers, the many places love can find you, or the world of coroners and medical examiners?  Then we have just the titles for you!  Give Me a Texas Ranger, by Jodi Thomas and others, is fresh in, as is Love Finds You in Branson, Missouri, by Gwen Faulkenberry, and Patricia Cornwell's newest book, Red Mist!  We also have Kill Alex Cross by James Patterson.  Are you a fan of Sue Grafton?  We have her newest book in the Kinsey Millhone series, V is for Vengeance!  We have all these books in, and many more, so come in and check them out!

Putting Your Name on the List: The New Way

 

Remember how you all used to ask us to put your name on the list for a new book?  We can still do that, just in a different way!

Now that we are live, when you want something reserved for you, you may ask us to place a hold on it yourself, or do it yourself from your own computer!  Remember, though, each item is strictly locked to the person who placed a hold on it.  So if you send your sibling, spouse, or best friend to pick up your book, you must give them your card so they can check it out for you.  Also, if someone you know placed a hold on something, and you'd like it for yourself, please make sure to place your own hold on it, under your name.  Otherwise, once your friend returns the item, it goes straight to the next library.
