Supporting My Library

You enjoy visiting your library, and want to keep it open for a long, long time, right?  How can you help that happen?  Like this:

First off, use the library.  Have you heard the saying, "Use it or lose it?"  Well, that saying is perfect for libraries.  We need our patrons to keep us going.  Come and visit us.  Use the patron computers, make copies with our equipment, check out our items, stop in to read the paper or visit with your friends.  Tell your friends about us.  Believe us, every patron, every visit, counts.

Second, when it comes time for budget meetings and the like, attend them, and speak up for your library.  Write letters or emails to your county, your Legislators, Senators, and Congressmen.  They won't hear you if you don't say something.  Be an advocate for your library in daily life.  You don't have to do all these things, but please do something.   Every visit, every letter or email to a politician, every time you tell a friend about us, counts.
